Let there be light! We love the ambiance and warm glow that emits from a candle flame, especially the joyful flickers and licks of the flame as its light dances along surfaces in our homes. There’s just something ever charming about natural candlelight… Found in many cultural celebrations, there are different forms of candle holders that come in various shapes and sizes. Please feel free to create anything that speaks to you. We love to learn about and expose ourselves to the World’s Village – such richness to be discovered! Bring your inspirations and ideas, then leave it to us to help you get there! Make a few simple pieces or a single more complex project. This workshop has been scheduled to be able to have your pieces finished and home in time for the holidays. In this workshop you will learn: - How to roll a workable slab - How to build slabs into forms using slip - Surface finishing techniques After this workshop your piece will be bisque fired and then you can return to glaze the piece during one of our "Glazing 101" workshops which is included in the cost of your class! It is a one-hour intro to glazing that will teach you how to glaze the piece you’ve made. Alternatively, you may choose a single color that we will glaze for you. After glazing, the piece will be fired in our kiln, and you can expect your piece to be ready for pickup 2-3 weeks after you have glazed. We will always contact you for pickup. The sooner you come back to glaze, the sooner you will have your pieces!
