Hand build a custom ceramic wall-hanging jewellery holder with us! Add special intention to the process of getting ready to tackle your day with this new fixture that will help in adorning yourself with your favourite jewellery. Create a catcher or hanger for specific pieces you love so that they are never out of place in your home! Begin your workshop by choosing from our three different colours of clay; white, speckled buff, or terracotta and then decorate your new jewellery hanger with over 100 colour choices! All materials and instruction are always included in our workshop fees, so bring your best ideas and your patient instructor will help you along every step of the way! In this workshop you will learn: ~ Rolling out clay slabs ~ Optimizing functionality of your piece ~ Decorating with stamps, textures and glazes ~ Finish surfaces to minimize sharp areas After this workshop your piece will be bisque fired and then you can return to glaze the piece during one of our "Glazing 101" workshops which is included in the cost of your class! It is a 1.5-hour intro to glazing that will teach you how to glaze the piece you have made. Alternatively, you may choose a single colour that we will glaze for you. After glazing, the piece will be fired in our kiln, and you can expect your piece to be ready for pickup 2-3 weeks after you have glazed. The sooner you come back to glaze, the sooner you will have your pieces! We will always contact you for pickup. Our clay discovery classes have been curated to teach a basic technique of hand building. You will be amazed with what you can make with just your hands and some clay!
