Trinket dishes are the perfect items for corralling all your sentimental jewelry and keeping bits in one place! They are incredibly easy to create and are fantastically fun to personalize with stunning prints and textures. In this workshop, you will learn the techniques you need to create the perfect trinket dishes for any purpose! Decorate your new trinket dishes with our over 100 colour choices! All materials and instruction are always included in our workshop fees, so bring your best ideas and your patient instructor will help you along every step of the way! In this workshop you will learn: ~ Basic slab techniques ~ Surface finishing and decoration ~ Draping clay over shapes/pressing clay into sponges Project Examples Include: ~ Jewellery dishes ~ Tooth Fairy dish ~ Key Catch-all ~ Pocket Change After this workshop your piece will be bisque fired and then you can return to glaze the piece during one of our "Glazing 101" workshops which is included in the cost of your class! It is a 1.5 hour intro to glazing that will teach you how to glaze the piece you have made. Alternatively, you may choose a single colour that we will glaze for you. After glazing, the piece will be fired in our kiln, and you can expect your piece to be ready for pickup 2-3 weeks after you have glazed. The sooner you come back to glaze, the sooner you will have your pieces! We will always contact you for pickup. Our clay discovery classes have been curated to teach a basic technique of hand building. You will be amazed with what you can make with just your hands and some clay!
