Eccentric Angels have drifted into the studio, carrying a touch of quiet holiday light with them. Inspired by the timeless grace of angelic forms, this workshop invites you to create your own interpretation of these gentle figures. Whether you imagine celestial guardians, abstract shapes of movement, or whimsical winged beings, each piece becomes a reflection of your imagination and care. These hand-built creations carry their own kind of glow, shaped by touch, patience, and a little seasonal magic. Craft a small gathering of angels to grace your holiday space—unique, soulful, and filled with the quiet joy of something made by hand. You will be guided through creating one larger angel or a few smaller ones, depending on your vision. If you have specific shapes, patterns or textures that you would like to use, please feel free to bring them into the studio during your workshop to add that extra bit of personalization. Then come back to decorate your new angel with over 100 colour choices. All materials and instruction are always included in our workshop fees, so bring your best ideas! In this workshop you will learn how to: ~ Roll out a clay slab ~ Use a cone mould to create a form ~ Attach pieces using scratch and slip ~ Decorate with stamps, carving, and glazes ~ Finish surfaces to minimize sharp areas After this workshop your piece(s) will be bisque fired and then you can return to glaze during one of our "Glazing 101" workshops which is included in the cost of your class! It is a 1.5 hour intro to glazing that will teach you how to glaze the piece(s) you have made. Alternatively, you may choose a single colour that we will glaze for you. After glazing, the piece(s) will be fired in our kiln, and you can expect them to be ready for pickup 2-3 weeks after you have glazed. The sooner you come back to glaze, the sooner you can take them home to enjoy! We will always contact you for pickup.
