This workshop is FREE for those of you who have taken a Discovery Workshop in the studio. This glazing session is included in the cost of your workshop! This workshop COSTS $25 plus taxes for those coming from outside of The Eccentric Artist Studio. Taking this workshop is required to participate in our Open Studio for glazing. You will be charged in-person before your session begins. You can anticipate a 1.5 hour “intro to glazing” that will teach you how to glaze the pieces you’ve made. We will begin with a 15-minute instruction and will follow that with a full hour and fifteen minutes of time for you to practice what you've just learned. If you get really into your glazing and find that you need more time, you are welcome to stay after this scheduled workshop for Open Studio time that will be charged in 15-minute increments with no one-hour minimum. After glazing the piece will be glaze fired and you can expect your piece to be ready for pickup 2-3 weeks after you have glazed. We will always contact you for pickup. In this workshop you will learn: - General rules of thumb in glazing - Our studio policies regarding glazing - Ideal glaze application - Food safety in glazes Needed materials: - Two (2) pieces of your own greenware or bisqueware to glaze
