BEGINNER FRIENDLY. This is a relaxed, 2 hour hands-on experience where you’ll leave with something unique and entirely your own. All materials provided. Small class size (8 students) and patient instructors.
PART 1 - Craft a home for your plant companion — a vessel that holds life and brings presence to your space. Using approachable hand-building techniques, you’ll shape a planter that is entirely your own, with or without a drainage hole.
From small to medium sizes, these pots can house succulents, bonsai, orchids, or any leafy friend you choose. Infuse your piece with texture, pattern, or symbolism to make it a vessel that reflects your energy and intention, creating a space where your plant and your creation can thrive together.
In this workshop you will learn how to:
~ Roll out a clay slab
~ Create a slab cylinder
~ Attach a base using scratch and slip
~ Creating drainage holes
~ Decorate with stamps, carving, and glazes
~ Finish surfaces to minimize sharp areas
~ Optimize the functionality of your piece
PART 2 - GLAZING: After your workshop, return for a glazing session (included). Your finished piece will be ready in 2–3 weeks.
