The season of sparkle is here and we are excited to help you create stunning porcelain ornaments that glow beautifully in direct light, perfect for your tree or as thoughtful gifts. There is no limit to the number of pieces you can make, only the hour-long class to guide your creativity. We provide a wide variety of holiday and general-shaped cookie cutters, along with many ways to add textures and patterns for dimension and interest. If you have specific shapes, designs, or textures you would like to include, feel free to bring them with you to personalize your pieces even further. Bring the ornaments from your imagination to life and take home hand-crafted treasures that will catch the light and shine all season long. This workshop is scheduled so your glowing creations will be ready to adorn your tree or gift in time for the holidays. These ornaments will be fired twice with no glaze to maintain its translucency and capture the delicate nature of porcelain. All materials and instruction are always included in our workshop fees, so bring your best ideas and your patient instructor will help you along every step of the way! In this workshop you will learn how to: ~ Roll out a clay slab ~ Decorate with stamps, textures, and carving ~ Finish surfaces to minimize sharp areas ~ Optimize the functionality of your piece After your workshop, your ornaments will be fired in our kiln twice, and you can expect your piece to be ready for pickup 2-3 weeks after you've made them. We will always contact you for pickup. Our clay discovery classes have been curated to teach a basic technique of hand building. You will be amazed with what you can make with just your hands and some clay! This is a great introduction to pottery without making a multi-week commitment.
