The holidays are full of sparkle, warmth, and creativity! What better way to celebrate than by painting your own collection of watercolour Christmas cards? This two-hour workshop is a gentle mix of learning, play, and personal expression that's perfect for anyone who loves the idea of slowing down, getting a little artsy, and creating something meaningful with their own hands. All materials and instruction are always included in our workshop fees, so bring your best ideas and your patient instructor will help you along every step of the way! We’ll begin with a guided tutorial where you’ll learn four festive designs, each one inspired by the coziness of the season. Think a charming stack of festive birds, twinkling ornaments in soft washes of colour, simple wreaths with a lovely message, or loose painterly shapes that remind of us the holidays. Once you’ve gotten the hang of the techniques (and found your favourite design or two), the second half of class is all yours! You’ll have six blank cards to paint, personalize, and experiment with. Repeat a favorite design, combine elements from a few, or let your imagination wander off in its own direction! There’s no wrong way to make them yours. This workshop is designed to be relaxing and joyful. A kind of creative break that helps you slow down in the middle of the season’s hustle. Whether you’re joining solo for a little mindful me-time, bringing a friend, or making it part of a small holiday outing, you’ll leave with that wonderful feeling of having made something completely your own. No experience is needed! Just come as you are, ready to play with colour and let your creativity flow. By the end of the session, you’ll have six finished cards with envelopes, six hand-painted gift tags and a handful of new painting techniques.
