THIS CLASS IS ONLY FOR STUDENTS THAT HAVE TAKEN ONE OF OUR PAID WORKSHOPS AND DID NOT BOOK THERI GLAZING CLASS AT THE END OF THEIR WORKSHOP. If you re looking for Open Studio Glazing 101, go to Book Open Studio and book Glazing 101. This glazing session is included in the cost of your workshop. You will receive an email from us titled "EAS&G: Ready for Glazing" when your piece(s) are ready to be glazed. The sooner you book to glaze after you receive glazing notice, the sooner your piece(s) will be ready to take home! You can look forward to a 1.5 hour “intro to glazing” that will teach you how to glaze the piece(s) you’ve made. We will begin with 30 minutes of instruction and then transition into a full hour for you to apply what you've just learned to your piece(s). If you get really into your glazing and find that you need more time, you are welcome to stay after this scheduled workshop for Open Studio time that will be charged in 15-minute increments with no one-hour minimum. In this workshop you will learn: - General rules of thumb in glazing - Studio policies regarding glazing - Ideal glaze application - Food safety in glazes After glazing, the piece(s) will be fired and you can expect them to be ready for pickup 2-3 weeks after you have glazed. We will always contact you via email for pickup.
