**TLDR; Continue learning and practicing hand building techniques, EVERYTHING included, make what you'd like in seven weeks (one week of the eight is set aside to let pieces dry) This course has been removed from our cycle of offerings due to low enrollment. We are more than happy to run a Level 2 course once the class has a minimum of four (4) participants is on the waiting list. Once the minimum has been met, classes will begin on a to-be-announced date; classes are most likely to run on Thursday afternoons from 2-5pm or evenings from 6-9pm. Did you take our beginner hand building course (or have 21 hours of recent instruction) and absolutely fall in love with the craft? If you’d like to dive even deeper into hand building, then take the next step in your artistic journey in Level 2! In this course, you will continue to work with traditional hand building construction techniques with a focus on practice in creating and refining your finishing skills. All materials and instruction are included in the course fee. Look forward to expanding on traditional hand building techniques and glazing to create wonderful pieces that you can be proud of, up to 9" tall. Depending on complexity and size, most students will take home a unique collection of 3-5 pieces by the end of the course; the goal is to take home pieces that YOU want to. Topics Covered Include: ~ Surface decoration techniques ~ Creating your “Dream Project” ~ Gaining skills to use advanced tools during Open Studio ~ Continued learning and practice with hand building techniques We have our studio examples, but feel free to bring in your OWN inspirations to step outside of the box and create something you are excited about bringing home!
