Creative Freedom in the Studio

So here's the thing, we have Discovery Workshops that run on a weekly basis where there is a specific project in mind. We always try our best to allow students their creative freedom while they are in the studio, because how can you say "no" to art!? Students must use the same hand building technique that is being instructed, but otherwise, they can go at it with their best ideas and modifications!

One of our best examples we have are trinket dishes! We have our own samples that were created to pique interest and inspire folks to create their own.

Trinket dishes are incredibly easy to create and are fantastically fun to personalize with stunning prints and textures. Our students always have a great time making, decorating and glazing their trinket dishes! No two that go home are ever the same.

“My daughter and I had a wonderful time doing and learning this craft together. It was a creative and fun, friendly afternoon. Thank you.” ~ Graham Steel

Our students have taken our simple trinket dish workshop for a spin! You can see the diverse range of ways "trinket dish" has been interpreted and created. Some students built UP and some built MORE! In every single case, we are blown away and can't wait to see the next batch of ceramics that go in the kiln. Especially when they are student-made! Check out our photos of these awesome trinket dishes, and become inspired.
