BEGINNER FRIENDLY! PERFECT FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE NEVER TOUCHED CLAY BEFORE This is a relaxed, 2 hour hands-on experience where you’ll leave with something unique and entirely your own. All materials provided. Small class size (8 students) and patient instructors. PART 1 - There’s something deeply satisfying about grinding herbs and spices by hand. In this workshop, you’ll handbuild a functional mortar and pestle designed to become one of the hardest-working tools in your kitchen—or your creative ritual. Shape a sturdy bowl and a comfortably balanced pestle, then add textures and details that make it uniquely yours while improving grip and performance. Whether you're blending fragrant spice mixes that taste far brighter than anything from a jar, muddling fresh herbs, or crushing dried botanicals for incense or other creative pursuits, your finished piece will invite you to slow down and connect with the simple alchemy of making things from scratch. Sometimes the smallest rituals hold the most flavour. Every good potion—whether it's curry, chai, or incense—deserves a worthy vessel.
