BEGINNER FRIENDLY! PERFECT FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE NEVER TOUCHED CLAY BEFORE. This is a relaxed, hands-on experience where you’ll leave with something unique and entirely your own. All materials provided. Small class size and patient instructors. PART 1 - This workshop offers a meaningful way to honor a loved one or beloved pet by incorporating a small amount of cremated ashes into your piece. You’ll be gently guided through simple handbuilding techniques, with the flexibility to create a form that feels right for you—whether functional or decorative. The process is approached with care and respect, allowing space for reflection while you work. No prior experience is needed, and all materials except the ashes are provided. You’ll leave with a deeply personal piece that holds both memory and intention. Our samples include a forget-me-not votive holder, a bell, and some pocket stones but you are welcome to create figures, pendants, tiles, tiny bowls, small figures, a meaningful shape or other small item that will be a precious reminder for you. Something to carry, to sit on a special shelf, to see every day to know that you are not alone. Bring a ring, button or other small design that will be a visual reminder to press into the clay. In this class you will learn how to: * Incorporate your chosen ashes into clay (or trust us to do that for you) * Pinching forms and shapes * Creating a figure up to 3-4" tall or 3" wide * Add personality to your figures * Decorate with textures and glazes * Finishing techniques to smooth surfaces Project Examples: - Small animals: birds, cats, dogs, etc. - Small tokens: runes, pocket stones, small sculpture etc. - Fantasy figures: your imagination is the only limit PART 2 - GLAZING: After your workshop, return for a glazing session (included). Some pieces you may not want to glaze and just leave the tactile smooth clay. It will be your choice to glaze or not, and we will have sample options of both to help you make your choice. Your finished piece will be ready in 2–3 weeks. ** Space is limited - book now to secure your spot! REGISTRATION CLOSES ONLINE AT 9PM THE EVENING BEFORE THE SCHEDULED WORKSHOP. TO REGISTER ON THE DAY-OF THE WORKSHOP, PLEASE CALL US AT 778-757-3274.
