BEGINNER FRIENDLY. PERFECT FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE NEVER TOUCHED CLAY BEFORE. This is a relaxed, 3-hour hands-on experience where you’ll leave with something unique and entirely your own. All materials provided. Small class size (8 students) and patient instructors. PART 1 - Every good bowl has a story simmering inside it. Shape your own handmade ramen bowl, then create matching companions such as sauce dishes, chopstick rests, or other small pieces that complete the ritual. Personalize each piece with textures, patterns, carved details, or stamped impressions to create a set that reflects your own style and the way you gather around food. Whether your aesthetic is beautifully simple or richly detailed, you'll leave with a one-of-a-kind collection made to cradle comfort, conversation, and whatever nourishment your table has been waiting for. In this class you will learn how to: ~ Roll out a clay slab ~ Shape your ramen bowl ~ Attach a base using scratch and slip ~ Create small, slab dishes/chopstick rests ~ Decorate with stamps, carving, and glazes ~ Finish surfaces to minimize sharp areas ~ Optimize the functionality of your piece PART 2 - GLAZING: After your workshop, return for a glazing session (included). Your finished piece will be ready in 2–3 weeks. ONLINE REGISTRATION CLOSES AT 9PM THE EVENING BEFORE THE SCHEDULED WORKSHOP. TO REGISTER ON THE DAY-OF THE WORKSHOP, PLEASE CALL US AT 778-757-3274.
