The sun takes an essential role in gardening and life itself! Choose between our three different templates or make your own unique hanging sun out of our feature clay - Plainsman M350! Decorate your new garden ornament in Glazing 101 with our over 100 colour choices or choose to take advantage of the natural clay and leave it bare! All materials and instruction are always included in our workshop fees, so bring your best ideas and your patient instructor will help you along every step of the way! In this class you will learn: - How to roll and use a clay slab - Beginner additive sculpture - To create a hanging ceramic piece - How to create a template (optional) After this workshop your piece will be bisque fired and then you can return to glaze the piece during one of our "Glazing 101" workshops which is included in the cost of your class! It is a 1.5 hour intro to glazing that will teach you how to glaze the piece you have made. Alternatively, you may choose a single colour that we will glaze for you. After glazing, the piece will be fired in our kiln, and you can expect your piece to be ready for pickup 2-3 weeks after you have glazed. The sooner you come back to glaze, the sooner you will have your pieces! We will always contact you for pickup. Our clay discovery classes have been curated to teach a basic technique of hand building. You will be amazed with what you can make with just your hands and some clay!
