Clay,Unscripted

Your ideas, some clay and a  little guidance when you need it.

Do you have ideas you’re ready to explore, but would appreciate having an experienced teacher within reach? Clay, Unscripted gives you the space to work on your own ceramic projects, experiment with techniques, and see where your ideas take you — without a prescribed project or step-by-step instruction.

Across four weekly sessions of three hours each, you’ll have access to the clay, tools, supplies, and firings you need, along with a teacher who can offer guidance, answer questions, and help you work through the occasional creative roadblock. You bring the ideas; we provide the space, materials, and support to help you bring them to life.

This is independent work, with room to explore at your own pace. It’s not a structured class, and your teacher won’t be directing each project. Instead, you’ll have the freedom to make your own decisions, develop your skills, and grow more confident in your individual practice.

Who can participate? Clay, Unscripted is available to students who have already been approved for Open Studio participation, including those who have completed our multi-week handbuilding course and meet the studio's Open Studio requirements.

Four weeks. Three hours a week. No prescribed projects — just your ideas, your curiosity, and a little help when you need it.
