All materials and instruction are always included in our workshop fees, so bring your best ideas and your patient instructor will help you along every step of the way! In this workshop you will learn how to: ~ Pinch clay into small shapes ~ Decorate with stamps, carving, and glazes ~ Finish surfaces to minimize sharp areas ~ Optimize the functionality of your piece After this workshop your pieces will be bisque fired and then you can return to glaze the piece during one of our "Glazing 101" workshops which is included in the cost of your class! It is a 1.5 hour intro to glazing that will teach you how to glaze the piece you have made. After glazing, the piece will be fired in our kiln, and you can expect your piece to be ready for pickup 2-3 weeks after you have glazed. The sooner you come back to glaze, the sooner you will have your pieces! We will always contact you for pickup. Our clay discovery classes have been curated to teach a basic technique of hand building. You will be amazed with what you can make with just your hands and some clay! This is a great introduction to pottery without making a multi-week commitment.
